Two pastors at the church in WF preached online during the lockdown. Both asked themselves the same question in a sermon: “Why don’t I see the miracles that Jesus promised we will see in our own lives.” One found – “Because I am disobedient to the commands of Christ”. The other concluded “We will never know”.

When the Bible talks of seeing God, it does not mean seeing God on the day of judgement – we will all have that encounter. It must therefore mean seeing him and seeing his love, his care, his power, his moving on our behalf in this life.
Heb 12: 14
Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God; that no “root of bitterness” springs up and causes trouble, and by it many become defiled; that no one is sexually immoral or unholy like Esau, who sold his birthright for a single meal.
