Last night we rescured a wild indian puppy from the drains under our road where he was howling like a tortured baby. Suresh and I neglected urgently needed preparation time to devote the evening and hours of lost sleep to this mercy mission.
It took hours of tempting and a wild chase complete with bites and yowls to get him to the safety of a clean cage. Suresh, Sani and the girls are so excited as they have been praying for a replacement to their last dog. Even in a nation of so much human suffering, we still need to make time for the little highlights that make childhood memories and bond a family together.
