A historic gathering of State and Free Church leaders.

KPK, Pakistan April 26: Alongside a two-day pastors and leaders conference which brought together State Church and Pentecostal Pastors, we had two public healing meetings and I preached to a packed cathedral in Peshawar on Sunday morning. Altogether, more than 1000 people attended the various meetings and we thank God that he backed the teaching of his Word with supernatural signs.

The invitation

In April 2026, I spent nine days in Pakistan with Dario and the f+h Pakistan team in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

This trip was the result an invitation from the soon retiring Bishop Humphries of the Church of Pakistan. He watched “Called+Empowered 4 – SwatFinally” in December and was so moved by the many testimonies that he extended the invitation to us to speak to his leadership.

So instead of our usual summer programme we decided to seize the opportunity and fly out specifically for a conference where we would do something that had never been done before: gather both Church of Pakistan and Pentecostal pastors in one hall for a conference. By the grace of God we exceeded our target of 80 leaders and had an average 115 people attending each day. Thanks to a solid biblical foundation we were able to lead the people into encounters with the Holy Spirit and minister in power in the final session. The public healing meetings that followed were smaller than planned due to rain but the anointing was stronger than ever.

Countless people experienced instant healings: one blind eye was opened and many glasses wearers got vision correction. But there was also healing of heart pain, back and joint problems or kidney stone pain leaving instantly. Occassionally, during the laying on of hands, some people, some felt a flow of ‘electric’ power. Some people manifested demons and got delivered and others were filled with the Holy Spirit. Those we trained last year were fully-involved in the prayer ministry and the power of God was flowing through them too.

Sometimes, people staggered backward or blacked out and fell to the ground. We call this a spiritual reset and it is often a sign of deliverance or deep physical or emotional healing. Often people can’t put into words what just happened but we hear about the change when we follow-up.

So for example, we met with Carol, who is see getting delivered from demons in our last documentary. Now more than seven months later, she confirmed that the pain and bad feeelings that used to plague her never returned and she is doing well in her studies. Her father, Pastor Nadeem reported that he now experiences the power of the Holy Spirit working through him when he prays for people.

Foundational teachings prepare the way for miracles

After our programme was finished, one senior priest who had scarcely attended the teaching sessions rejoiced with us that the Lord has given us the gift of healing. While I rejoiced with him, I wished that he would have opened his heart to receive the same gift.

In the first chapter of Corinthians, the Apostle Paul says that he did not come with impressive teaching but with the message of the Cross, the demonstration of the power of God and the impartation of spiritual gifts. This is basically the goal of all my mission trips and it is what we tell people when we invite them to a conference or seminar. We say come and get empowered.

The Called+Empowered teaching in a nutshell is that God always desired to live in people and work through us by the power of his Holy Spirit. We learn that God in Christ made this possible by his work on the Cross and that now he is waiting for us to come into agreement with him. Our response must be to remove the blockages of sin, hurts, unforgiveness and unclean spirits and then let him fill us with this Holy Spirit.

I praise God that he always backs these messages with clear demonstrations of his power and that he is willing to use anyone who will humble themselves before him in love and obedience.

Healing and deliverance confirm the Gospel

Healed from the effects of a stroke

During the Friday night healing service in Peshawar, an elderly woman came forward. Following a stroke affecting her right side: her arm was not working and an eye had gone blind.

We prayed for her, and she began to move her arm and she regained movement in her elbow. At the same time, she began to cry and reported that her blind eye got opened and she could see again.

God’s voice, faith and patience led to deliverance

A young man saw a poster for the crusade and heard an inner voice calling him to come. He arrived with his friend in good time before five. The programme was long, with praise and worship, official welcomes and then my  teaching. But I promised not leave before I prayed for everyone. “Please have faith and patience”, I said.

Towards ten o’clock at night their patience ran out and they started to leave. But at the gate the voice came again. “Go back and wait“. So they turned around and came back in. Finally I got to them. The first one explained that he was 18 and wants to serve God but since the age of 12, he had felt what he described as a dark spiritual presence next to him. The words “Hindu spirit” popped into my mind. But he was from a Christian family.

I commanded the Spirit to leave him. He blacked out went down and lay on the ground shaking for a while. When he got up, he was completely dazed and confused. So I prayed again. He went down a second time. This time, when he came around, it was different. He described feeling the darkness come up and out of him and he was filled with joy.

Now it was his friend’s turn for deliverance. It turned out his family were Hindus. Sometimes you recognise the presence of a spirit but have to recognise who is carrying it. He too got delivered.

A promised outpouring on the Cathedral road

Because of rain, we asked for permission to the use the cathedral for our Friday night outdoor healing service. The answer was no, you can use the small hall that we have designated for such events. But we knew that room would I challenged them with one question – are you giving God your best? Because he multiplies whatever we give him.

“The hall is our best” said the priest. “Don’t you believe God can work there?”
“Certainly! God can work anywhere. Even if we go on the street, he will work there,” declared Dario.
“Let’s go see the hall” someone said, seeking to diffuse the tension. That is when the Bishop’s secretary proposed a compromise.
“We will do the healing meeting in the conference hall and we will invite you to preach in the Sunday morning service in the Cathedral”.
“Are you serious?” I replied, shocked by the turn around.
“Let me confirm it” he replied.

Bad and good shepherds and the election of the next Bishop

At 11:30 pm on Saturday night I got the confirmation of the meeting and the Bible verses that I needed to base my sermon on. We were still on a home visit so it was well past midnight when I got back to my room and was able to seek the Lord’s guidance for the message. The passages they had given me from the church reading calendar were shockingly relevant to the current situation – the election of a new Bishop.

I went to Peshawar believing that God wanted me to speak prophetically to the church in a way that would influence the election of the next Bishop. Now I was being asked to preach on Ezekiel 34, where God reprimands the Bad Shepherds of Israel, who don’t feed the sheep, bind the broken or gather the lost.

The Church should pray for and elect a Bishop (Shepherd of Shepherds) who share’s the Good Shepherds heart – who like Jesus will care for his flock. This man should not be chosen for his abilities to raise funds or manage factions. He should not feed the mind of men with intellectual teachings but heal broken hearts and set the captives free.

This message was well received but I had to leave the service early as I was freezing under the fans and the loudspeakers were hurting my tired ears. As soon I stepped into the sun on the street. Miracles started to happen. One after another people asked for prayer and got healed.

Cataracts and glasses and the family on the motorbike

For example, the man pictured was healed of a cataract. There was another man who staggered and fell when we prayed for his eyes. He had blurred vision as well. He got healed but Saqib heard him and a friend joking around about having his eyes healed so that he could see women more clearly. Immediately he lost his healing. Saqib and Dario instructed the men to be respectful of the power of God and avoid dirty jokes. Then they prayed for him again and his eyesight was once again made perfect.

Almost three hours later, a man who had witnessed all these miracles arrived with his daughters on a motorbike. We prayed for them and the first daughter also felt the physical force of the power of God hitting her and received healing of her eyes. She is now living without glasses.

We need your prayers and support

Please pray for:

  • God’s hand to guide the Church of Pakistan in KPK as they elect a new bishop
  • that Pastors and Leaders who we empowered dedicate themselves fully to their calling
  • that individuals who got healing and deliverance will abide in Christ and not lose their miracles
  • the f+h Pakistan team leaders as they balance family life, jobs, follow-up and upcoming programmes
  • Financial provision for the work ahead
