Diversity and Inclusion in Mission

Diversity and inclusion are some of the hottest topics of our time – besides climate change, of course. One of the reasons these topics are so prominent in the media nowadays is because big money is being invested to use them to further an agenda of political control.

Actually those who are aware of God’s agenda have always cared and invested in these topics. The biblical good news is that people from different tribes and tongues are offered salvation, healing and deliverance as well as adoption into the family of God (Gal 4:5, Eph 1:5). Mission has therefore always been about diversity and inclusion – but not as we know it nowadays. .

But the devil worked hard to give Christian mission a bad name so that he could claim this space for his own agendas. One of the accusations against mission was that Western Christians were changing traditional ways of life. Today, however, the majority of missionaries are not Westerners. They are indigenous believers who care deeply about the commands of Christ and the fate of their fellow men.

For example, in Northern Kenya, diversity means that more than 5 different people groups have been in deadly competition for scarce natural resources for centuries. So for our Christian brothers there, inclusion means building relationships across tribal boundaries and inviting people whether muslim, animist or nominal Christians to put their full faith in Jesus Christ and become part of the family of God.

That is why it is a privilege to be partnering with a movement in Northern Kenya called ‘Christ Transformation Center’ led by Bishop Simon Ndori (red shirt above). His work is sometimes dangerous, always hard but ever joyful and fruitful as the pictures show.

Would you consider supporting my upcoming trip in prayer – or even financially? Next week I will be going to Kenya with a small team to train pastors and leaders in two three day conferences, accompanied by a number of evangelistic healing crusades.

More information is shared below.

Revival training in Northern Kenya

October 27th to November 10th.

‘Christ Transformation Center’ is an indigenous church network that is promoting reconciliation among people groups all over Northern Kenya. Besides evangelism and church planting (50 in recent years), they are also engaged in theological training and spiritual formation and equipping.

I have been investing in the relationship with Christ Transformation Center for several years. This year we held 4 online day trainings and helped them build their first church structure and start a veterinary supplies business. Now the time has come answer the long-standing invitation to come and teach and impart some spiritual gifts (Romans 1:11).

We have planned 2×3 day conferences for 100 leaders from across Northern Kenya, along with 6 healing revival outdoor meetings etc.

The challenge – drought and destructive rituals

The nomadic tribes of arid Northern Kenya have been in conflict as they fight for grass, water and cattle. However, while well-funded NGOs say the solution is to fight climate change, this problem has actually existed for centuries and transformation depends on addressing the spiritual roots.

e.g. Demonic rituals performed after birth rob men of vision, keeping them subservient to female goddesses and trapping them in a hand-to-mouth lifestyle.

The preaching and demonstration of the Gospel and deliverance ministry are the true hope for transformation here as elsewhere!
